BS171 1984 Identification of Pipelines and Services, specifies the colours to be used for the identification of pipes containing or transporting dangerous substances, including conduits for electrical services and ventilation ducting
Basic colour bands for the identification of pipe contents are supplied in strips of high quality self adhesive vinyl measuring 15x 98m
A colour band should be placed each side of a floor or wall penetration by the pipe and on each side of a valve or similar appliance
